PCM (Paul Cole Method) Animal Reflexology was developed when Paul Cole realised that a genuine reflexology treatment for animals was not possible. Mapping out and charting the animal's body on the paws, Paul gave animals the chance to benefit from a precise reflexology massage.
Paul was studying for a reflexology diploma when Star, a Border collie and loyal companion, developed a kidney infection. She was left unwell and lacking energy. Certain that Star would benefit from reflexology Paul began researching dog and cat anatomy and physiology. Later, reflexes of the bodies organs could be mapped out on the paws.
Many professionals are more aware of the benefits of certain colours. Medical practitioners have recently begun to understand visible light (the colour spectrum). They now use it in the treatment of physical and psychological disorders.
Paul developed PCM Animal Colour Technique using a ten-colour Colour Wheel for dogs and cats. A twelve-colour Colour Wheel was used for the horse and pony. These colours are applied to vertebrae of the spine, which are represented on the spinal reflex on the paw or limb. This helps identify imbalances during therapy and form the basis of the technique.
Combining PCM Animal Colour Technique and PCM Animal Reflexology enhances the beneficial effects.
